Essential oil:Cypress & Frankincense

Cypress: Known for its calming and grounding properties, very helpful in times of transition or emotional upheaval. Eases tension and calls in a sense of stability. Associated with renewal, personal growth, and letting go of the past. 

Frankincense: ombats stress and anxiety. It is believed that, in spiritual practices, the scent of Frankincense strengthens both intuition & a spiritual connection

Stone: Sunstone

 A joyful stone that calls in the light. If life has lost it’s sweetness Sunstone will bring it back to you. Very nurturing and also clears all the chakras, bringing in light and energy. Helpful for removing hooks from others and tie-cutting. Let this stone fill your cup back up.

SHINE BRIGHTER

One of the things that really stood out to me in this Leo season-  especially as it lands alongside an Aquarius full moon- is the sheer quantity of things that are shifting in the world and within each of us. And a really interesting shift is happening  away from the stereotypical Leo energy that is often referred to as these generic tropes about being center stage, or captivating a room etc. that have been around for ages. But this shift is  towards a more authentic exploration of what it means to shine brightly for each of us individually, and how that light shows up in the collective. 

Maybe the way you are shining brightly this season is in communing with your garden. And the way that shining brightly in your garden is feeding your soul, maybe feeding friends and family, and feeding the ecosystem you are a part of. 

Maybe you are shining brightly in your own life by shifting energy and focus. Maybe you are the person everyone relies on, the person that always catches others and has it all together. Maybe shining brightly for you looks like stepping back and shining for yourself first. Learning to fill your cup - because we all know you can’t pour from an empty vessel. 

I want to be clear that the call to shine brighter isn’t to do more. We do more than enough of that individually and culturally. This is a call to shine brighter where it feels the most authentic. And for a lot of people that isn’t in being the star or being center stage (it’s also ok if it is!) For a lot of people it’s heeding a call for connection, a call to slow down, a call to shift priorities. And how do we shine brightly in these quieter ways and in a more nuanced space?

The dark purple of the cup this month is a nod to the new moon it was thrown under in Cancer. But it’s also an acknowledgement as we move through Leo season, and dark comes with light. They have been, and will always be inextricably linked. 

In order to act you must also have times of stillness.

In order to contribute you also must fill your own cup. 

Time of solitude must be balanced with times of connection. 

It’s never all or nothing. It's always both. 

So this Leo season SHINE BRIGHTER, but in your own special and unique way that is right for you! ~~~
