Mutual Liberation

Aries season during a fire horse year is not messing around. The name of the game is action. Taking it, acting on it, insisting on it. We are having a rare astrological moment right now in that all planets are currently direct, something that is a relatively rare occurrence. This is something akin to the notion of “all systems are go”.

But with all of this forward momentum, pay attention to where you are pointing your rudder. Because whatever you focus on is going to amplify. So if you are focusing on “how the hell is this going to work” “fuck this is terrifying” “how the hell am I supposed to make that happen?!” well I’m sorry to say those vibes are going to double down. Sort of like your boat taking on water. 

So your best bet is to focus on where you want to head. Not how, not why, but what is the next right step? And focus there. This will calm and ground this quick moving current of energy.

She is a brilliant writer and…so much more. But I recently heard her talking about a Lilla Watson quote:

If you don’t know where else to focus right now, focus there. There are about 300 people hell bent on destroying the earth, and about 8 billion that want nothing more than to live a peaceful loving life with their family and friends. We need to remember those odds. We need to join forces with each other to continue to dream a new future that supports us all. 

I know someone of you are newer here, and some of you have been around for years (and thank you to all of you from the bottom of my heart) And what I wanted to share that I don’t know if people fully realize, is that SO many of these candles go out to wonderful people doing amazing things. 

People get these candles and burn them at births, at birthdays, for funerals, for weddings. People get them to be on the altar of their homes, and to be at the altar of large gatherings. I have had people buy sets for the whole family and they all call each other and light them when their sister is heading into chemo. People light them as part of their daily practice either opening or ending their day. People light them for loved ones, for themselves, people light them with hope in their hearts, and also when it seems all hope is lost. And I share this to remind you that people are doing magic every day, both big and small, and we are all connected. We are all weaving a braid, tying a net, and amplifying. We offer care when we have the spoons, and we take comfort when we are in need. And it’s all completely connected. 

We have us.

I’ve been creating these candles since 2020. They came out of a deep desire to put something loving and positive out into the world, when things seem so dark. May the love of these candles fill the space you bring them into

Large is approx. 14 ounces with a burn time of approx. 55 hours

Bowl candle is approx. 2”x4” and is double wicked. The burn time is approx. 50 hours

All candles come with a candle card giving information on the moon cycles as well as this particular candles information

Caring for your candle:

Let the candle melt all the way across the top before blowing out. This is especially important the first time you light your candle. This can take many hours as soy/coconut wax has a very long burn time.

Burning until the melted wax has reached the edge of the container will ensure it burns cleanly out of the container for the remainder of the life of the candle.

After your candle has completely burned, fill the empty candle vessel with boiling water to release any residual wax. Once cooled, wipe clean.

The vessel is food safe, microwave safe, & dishwasher safe. Don’t hesitate to reach out to me via email with any questions!

Wooden wicks are special and beautiful, but they do not behave like cotton wicks. They require a bit more care for optimal performance.

Keep the wick cut short (about 1/8”) and close to the candle wax, which helps it to burn. Before each new burn, gently use your fingers or a wick cutter to remove the extra carbon from the wick.

Make sure the wick is lit all the way across. This might take extra seconds of holding the flame to the wick. Torch lighters work well for this.
