The second moon candle of 2023! RENEW
As we pass Imbolc and move into 2023 what can you do to renew yourself?
How can you move in a way that is full and nourished instead of depleted and strung out? We can only create a new future for ourselves from a place of fullness.
What are you calling into being in 2023?
“Your strength lies in your ability to renew and reclaim your power”
These words have been echoing in my head since I read them from Chani Nicholas. Life just gets more and more wild and unexpected. And in that space how do you carve out a space for your own sanity? How do you fill your own cup first? And that was the inspiration for RENEW
While I was mulling this over I also read about a lovely ritual in my Llwelyn Calendar. While holding your candle over your altar, or by moving your hand above the candle (before you light it!) you move your hand counterclockwise and speak out loud “Release, release, release” then pause and moving your hand or the candle clockwise speak out loud “Renew, renew, renew”
You can also do this while stirring your coffee or tea in the morning counterclockwise “Release, release, release” clockwise “Renew, renew, renew”
I love the idea of this simple yet potent practice and have found it very helpful.
