Monthly Moon Candle Subscription
These candles formed out of my desire over 2020 to directly contribute connection, beauty, and love to my community. I make each and every candle consciously, intentionally pouring good energy into every step of the process. I mark my yearly sigil on every box of clay I bring into the studio. I’m very conscious of my own energy while creating them, and then I bless and cleanse every candle before mailing them.
New Moon: Creation
The containers are all thrown individually by hand, by Aby on the new moon. Then the candles are trimmed, burnished, and bisque fired under the waxing crescent and first quarter moon. They are then glazed and fired with a color pertaining to the new moon under the waxing gibbous moon.
Full Moon: Ritual
On the full moon I pour the candles with 100% soy wax and add essential oils to scent them. I choose a scent that pertains to the sign the full moon is in. The candles are then physically set out under the light of the full moon to cure and absorb the magical energy of the full moon. They are also present for all of my own full moon rituals and blessings that I very intentionally do over every candle.
